Please, to better understand the need for help, and the reasons for the appeal, read the Introduction first. Then, the following summations and their motivations will be much clearer, as an aid in making the decision to assist.
America is dying. Everyone who's paying attention knows it. That doesn't mean "The End is near!", nor does it mean "Jesus is coming back soon!" -- The Apostle Paul thought Christ would be returning in his lifetime. For the chronologically uninformed, that was two thousand years ago.
Yet here we are today.
Obviously then, God intends for us to be doing something that he wishes for us to be doing. It is highly unlikely that he tarries because of our sterling personalities and the enjoyment derived from witnessing all our stand-up decisions and even beautifuller enactments.
Realizing, then, that this ship is on its way down, but also that God's desire is for us to be about his work even in the midst of disaster, you are perfectly capable of roughly three courses of action:
Eat and drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die!
Go ahead and follow the path of the most foolish wise man ever to have disgraced the face of this disgraceful planet, and see where you end up. -- That's not an endorsement, it's a grave warning.
Busy and distract yourself from Reality with everything besides What Really Matters.
Coping. Maybe some coking. Surviving. Some good times now an then. Then you die.
Sounds depressingly mediocre and reactive. I'll pass.
3a, b, &c.
Make his design yours. Obey him to the fullest, in everything, everywhere, at all times.
Long to know him more.
To the uttermost parts of the world.
Live the Life, to the fullest.
Love the fight, and fight to the last breath.
I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?
For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
That sounds more like it.
Wherever there is a problem, there is also, always, a solution. -- Otherwise, there is no problem, because without a right or wrong way, it's just how things are "supposed to be" -- hence the greatness of The Lie that says there is no God to whom you are accountable -- "accountable? For what? I'll do what I want, when I want, how I want, and who are you or your invisible god to judge me and tell me otherwise? There's nothing wrong here, because there's no such thing as Right, because there is no authority besides what I make it, and it's my life, so bleep-bleep-bleep you, you bleeping Christian, and bleep your god too!"
You sound an awful lot like the hypocritical bleet-bleet-bleeters in mine ears, whom you hypocritically moc -- as they traipse into their pretend churches -- only with slightly different jargon.
Let's se ... if you declare authoritatively that there is no Ultimate Authority ... then you have gone about to set up your own authority as somehow the legitimate Ultimate Authority -- or better yet, perhaps you saw your super-hypocrisy a split second before it was pointed out just now, and so you declared quickly to yourself as only Irrational You can do, comforting yourself that you make no such claim to ultimate authoritativeness. Great, then you admit there is an authority above and beyond your own. No! you say. There is no Ultimate Authority! you say further, thinking you have established some profound truth, while denying there is such a thing as Ultimate Truth ...
Your mind is a mess, because your heart is far from God.
Your life, speaking to the odds and to the ridiculously false religion and false doctrine you almost surely subscribe to, is quite the mess.
Your family, speaking to the certainty (since mixing together anything more than one of your ilk makes those individual odds multiply) is also a mess.
Your church -- or maybe only those decrepitly whitewashed buildings you drive quickly by and steal only a guilty glance toward -- it and they are the mess-makers.
And need we delve into your elected government? your "educational institutions"? your day-care facilities? your nursing homes? your concentration camps I mean abortion clinics? ... ?
It is, then, time for something new, a new direction.
When your days are emptiness and deflation, the time has come.
When your schedule is full, but there is no rhyme or reason to it all, the time has come.
When your family has fallen apart, it is time to regroup.
When your church has become a den of vipers, it's time for a temple-cleaning, cat-o-nine-tails style.
When your nation has become the cesspool of Sodom and Gomorrah, every moment seeking to distance itself further and further from the wisdom and ways of God, it's time for something other than your Republican and Democrat Party backstabbings and insanities and corruptions.
When your life has become lifeless, it is time for renewal.
It is time to be graced.
The first half of my earthly Christian ministry has come to a close. Overall in a brutal self-assessment, I would grant myself a generous C+. The + I'll tack on for the last two months' strenuous exertions to get this off the ground, but still being in the thick of it, I might be a little biased via sleep deprivation.
But the best is yet to come.
Although that first half of the big game was spent mostly reclusively and in making diligent search and in deeply pondering what are the most fundamental, basic, foundational truths concerning God and his Creation, this second must necessarily and joyfully be spent in -- of course, personally continued diligent pursuit of ever more of God and his wonderfulness -- but also in rapidly increasingly interpersonal endeavors, to make use of what I have been granted thus far, to help make others know what is the height and depth and breadth of God's amazing love.
Given the necessity and the dearth described earlier, and the same personally, physically speaking, that prompted me to put together this appeal, it is hoped clearer why I will be taking the path and byways you will find implied and explained throughout, here and on the ministries page et al.
What is in the power of my hand so to do,
It Shall Be Done
And it shall be like Life from the:
Discipleship: Preaching, teaching, training for Real Life.
Evangelism: Telling others about the Way of Salvation through Jesus Christ, that they might have eternal life.
Acts, Actions, Activism (as opposed to 'activities'): Direct involvement as a Man of God, in the mix at all levels, seeking to establish the ways and wisdom of God in every institution.
Debate: Confronting principalities and powers in high places, to the tearing down of strongholds in the hearts and minds of fallen men everywhere, that the revival, the renewal, the rebuilding, may begin and be done according to those Ways and that Wisdom.
